It's funny how life moves in waves. The college wave, the wedding wave and now the baby wave. There's nothing that makes you feel more like an adult than the first time one of your girlfriends announces they're pregnant and it's no longer an "oh crap" moment, but rather a time of love and celebration. For me, that moment came with my good friend Ashley.

I first met Ashley in kindergarten or first grade  and she quickly became one of my best friends. After high school, she moved around quite a bit, from Oregon to Moscow, France and Philadelphia. It wasn't long after she moved back home a couple years ago that she met this guy named Paul. As the story goes, they fell in love, got married and just celebrated the birth of their beautiful baby boy, Beau Boysen (say that five times fast).I met with them about a month before Beau's due date, along with their goofball dog, Sam, for a few maternity photos at Manito Park in Spokane.

Because neither Ashley or I are earlybirds, we didn't start photos until after 10:30, losing our good morning light. We stuck to shady spots to avoid harsh shadows, and I think they turned out pretty well.

Congratulations to the Boysen family, can't wait to meet your little man :)
