ABOUT US
We started dating as high school juniors way back in 2005 and have been on a lifelong adventure ever since. Stuck in North Idaho is about more than just life in the Idaho panhandle. It’s about us, our dog, and everything we love to see, eat, and do in the beautiful northwest.
Whether it’s paddling around the lake, hiking in the woods, hitting the slopes, or camping along the river, we love sharing our favorite places with locals and visitors alike.
Andrea started Stuck in North Idaho in 2012 in response to complaints of boredom and a lack of appreciation for the area from younger residents. Since then, we’ve backpacked, mountain biked, ran, traveled, hiked, rafted, snowshoed, and triathaloned (is that a word?) our way across the Inland Northwest and beyond.

Andrea is the founder of SINI, an overly enthusiastic dog lover, storyteller, and communications director with a love of photography and an appreciation for the outdoors.

Rue is the newest member of our family and our adventure dog in training. She’s navigating this new world of hers with zest and enthusiasm. We can’t wait to watch her grow and explore.
Juneau (Dec. 2011- Feb. 2022) was our first fur baby who still holds a large presence on this site and in our hearts. She was our adventure buddy for 10 wonderful years and we owe so much to her.

Kyle works at Rever, a motorcycle GPS app and website. He enjoys the feeling of blood pumping through his veins and feels most at home on two wheels - motorized or not.

Novices of most things, we’re excited to share what we learn along the way in hope that it inspires more people to learn about all the amazing opportunities that lie beyond our homes and electronics and take at least one step into the wild.
