Jamie is nailing my mood today. Welcome to Friday! Got any good plans for the weekend? Not much going on here. Kyle is training for the Coeur d'Fondo, so he'll be spending about 3-4 hours on his bike tomorrow. Me? I'll be getting a hair cut and looking at fancy homes with my parents. I love the Parade of Homes :)We're rolling right through August and it's blowing my mind a little. Our FIVE year wedding anniversary is only a couple weeks away and Kyle already gave me my present (which I totally wasn't expecting) and there's no possible way I can top it. Not that it's a competition or anything... More on what he got me to come.A couple weeks ago Kyle, his bro Kendrich and his friend Matt won first place at the Coeur d'Alene Tri for the team relay. They killed it - or rather - Nageled it (don't judge our catchphrase). On a more serious note, please send good vibes our way. The entire Northwest is burning. The crazy orange-brown glow from the sun and smoke is giving the whole are this eerie post-apocalyptic feeling. The president finally declared Washington as being in a state of emergency, and I bet poor Idaho isn't too far behind. Today my throat hurts from the smoke and dust fog we've been living in for the past several weeks, each day is worse. My thoughts are with everyone who is having to evacuate their homes and those working so hard to put the fires out - I sincerely hope for the best and am praying hard for some rain to help the firefighters.Thank you to everyone out there helping. This is heavy on my mind today. If you're interested in helping those who have been affected by one of the many fires in the area, check out this article from the Inlander. On a lighter note, I have a fun new project in the works that I hope to share in the next week or so. Here's a hint: It's taking me back to my roots in the wedding industry :)Hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Here are a few of my favorite links from around the web this week:What I want to do every time someone asks when Kyle and I are having kids.A new drink I want to tryA better way to store our bikesTrying to rally the neighbors to make our alley even more kick-assHave a wonderful weekend!XOAndy
