Happy Friday!

Local troops carry the flag for the
annual 4th of July parade on Sherman Ave.
It's that time of the week again, happy Friday!
I hope everyone had a very happy and safe 4th of July. I know the celebration will continue on into the weekend for many.
The annual parade was a big hit as always, although I do think they need to work on some consistency for spacing between attractions. But overall it was a great family event as always with fire trucks, air planes, local troops, horses, and even a new float this year.

But let's get to the good stuff going on this weekend!

Today

Ring of Fire - Any Cash fans out there? And I don't mean the green kind. The Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre's production of "Ring of Fire" tells the story of the one, Mr. Johnny Cash. The show runs through the 15th at NIC. Tonight's show is at 7:30 at Boswell Hall. Vist Cd'ASummerTheatre.com or call (208)769-7780 for more info.

Rock the Dock - Head down to the Resort Marina for Rock the Dock tonight from 4-7. The band Blueprint is playing. Should be a great time, and great weather!

Joining Rock the Dock tonight is Surfin' Cd'A. Bring some friends for discounted wake surfing for up to four people at a time. Cost is $25 per person, one-hour time slots begin at 4 and will fill up fast!

Carlin Bay - Tonight Carlin Bay Resort is hosting the band, "YESTERDAYSCAKE" beginning at 7:30. If you're into classic rock, and happen to be out on the lake stop in and check it out. And then let me know if they're any good.

Seasons -  Andy Day will be performing acoustic guitar at Seasons tonight. If you're looking for some great, local food and talent that's the best we can do!

Saturday

Farmer's Market - Head over to the Kootenai County Farmer's Market on the corner of 95 and Prairie. Local vendors from all over head here to sell their goods. Great plants, food and entertainment as well as artisans and crafters.

Uncorked at the Boardwalk - This week at Uncorked, my favorite local winery is pouring, so you better be there. From 4-7 Pend d'Oreille Winery will be serving up some of their famous Bistro Rouge (I hope!) while the Les Moore duo  greets the crowd with some sweet jazz music. I have a feeling you all know where I'll be tomorrow!

Pirate Cruises - The pirate cruises are back with a vengeance! Actually they're quite fun for all ages. The cruises run multiple times each week, call (208)765-4000 for more info or to make a reservation. However, I posted this specifically under "Saturday" because there's an adults-only cruise at 6:30. Enjoy pirate garb, drinks, dancing, and even beer pong while aboard the Resort's own pirate ship.
