Car d'Alene

I think I've referenced my favorite season before. Not winter, fall or spring. Classic car season. Yup, that wonderful time of year when everyone who owns a classic car brings it out to share with the world. This season is typically Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather depending.Lost in the 50's and Car d'Alene are the pinnacles of northern Idaho classic car season. There are a few other events, but these two are my favorite. The only other one that might come close is the show out at Silverwood. The Rod Run used to be awesome, but it no longer exists :(This year's Car d'Alene is June 14 and 15. The swap meet is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The cruise is Friday night downtown. If you want to know the specific route, the Cd'A Downtown Association has a map on their website. The Show n' Shine and awards are on Saturday.What a great way to spend Father's Day weekend!
